The Global Health Technologies Coalition (GHTC) will host a public, in-depth conversation about how investment in global health research and development (R&D) saves millions of lives and helps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through job creation and economic growth.
Guest speakers will explore different approaches and experiences of companies, countries, and regions in supporting global health R&D and innovation and the returns these investments have delivered. GHTC will share some key findings from its recent Return on Innovation reportdocumenting how US investment in global health R&D supports the US economy. Featured speakers will include Jan-Willem Scheijgrond, Head of International Partnerships, Philips; Dr. Peter Singer, CEO of Grand Challenges Canada, Bumpei Tamamura, senior director of external affairs for the GHIT Fund, and Jamie Bay Nishi, GHTC Director.
